Pump it.
Mutate is a Solana launchpad where a coin changes as its market cap grows. The creator decides every mutation at launch. After that, nobody can touch it.

How a coin mutates
1
Write the DNA
Choose market caps, and what the coin does when it gets to each one: a new image, a new name, a payout to holders, a burn, an airdrop.
2
Launch it
The DNA is stored with the coin and can't be edited, by you or by us. Anyone can read it before they buy.
3
The chart does the rest
When the market cap crosses one of your numbers, the coin mutates by itself. It never goes back, even if the price does.
Try it on a pretend coin
Five mutations are written into this one. Push the market cap up and watch what happens to the coin, to the pot and to your bag.

The trades here are pretend. The curve, the pot and the mutations run on the same code the protocol is specified with.
Eight things a mutation can do
Put up to four on one market cap, and up to ten market caps on one coin.
- Look
New image
The coin's picture changes.
The exact rule
The image in the token metadata is replaced by the one set at launch for this mutation. The mint address and the ticker stay the same.
Paid from: nothing moves. Can be hidden until it happens.
- Look
New name
The coin gets a new name.
The exact rule
The name in the token metadata is replaced. The ticker never changes, so the coin stays findable under the same symbol and address.
Paid from: nothing moves. Can be hidden until it happens.
- Look
New description
The coin's bio is rewritten.
The exact rule
The description in the token metadata is replaced by the text set at launch for this mutation.
Paid from: nothing moves. Can be hidden until it happens.
- Look
Hidden message
A hidden note from the creator is revealed.
The exact rule
A text written at launch and stored as a hash. It is published on the coin page when the mutation happens. It can't be edited after launch.
Paid from: nothing moves. Can be hidden until it happens.
- Money
Holder reward
A share of the fee pot is paid to the top holders.
The exact rule
A set percentage of the SOL in the pot is split between the N largest holders, pro rata to their balance. The pool, the airdrop reserve and the creator's dev buy are not counted as holders.
Paid from: the coin's fee pot.
- Money
Buyback and burn
A share of the fee pot buys the coin and burns it.
The exact rule
A set percentage of the SOL in the pot buys the coin on its own curve, with no fee. The tokens bought are burned, which lowers the supply.
Paid from: the coin's fee pot.
- Money
Airdrop
Free tokens are sent to the top holders.
The exact rule
A set percentage of the supply, reserved at launch and kept out of the curve, is split between the N largest holders, pro rata to their balance. A coin's DNA can reserve at most 10% of the supply.
Paid from: reserve set aside at launch.
- Rules
Fee change
The trading fee goes up or down.
The exact rule
The trade fee is set to a new value from this mutation on. It can never go above 2%.
Paid from: nothing moves.

What never mutates
The DNA can't be edited
Every mutation is fixed at launch. Nobody can add, change or remove one afterwards. Not the creator, not Mutate.
Same ticker, same address
Only the name, the image and the description mutate. The ticker and the mint address stay the same, so the coin stays findable.
Money is never hidden
A creator can hide a future image or name as a surprise. Payouts, burns, airdrops and fee changes are always public.
You can always sell
Nothing can block a sell, and the fee can't go above 2%. If a coin stops mutating for 30 days, its pot goes to the top 50 holders.
One fee, and it feeds the pot
Every trade pays 1%. Half goes to Mutate. Half goes into the coin's pot, which the DNA spends at the next mutation. Whatever it doesn't spend goes to the creator.
